PRIVACY NOTICE

This Privacy Notice is issued pursuant to the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA") and explains how Ling & Lim ("the Firm", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses your personal data. It applies to personal data collected through your engagement of our services, your email communications with us, your participation in our events, seminars, or other activities, and through your use of our website at linglim@linglimlegal.com (collectively referred to as "Engagement").

Ling & Lim maintains appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

6. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND OPT-OUT

If you receive a marketing email from Ling & Lim, you will be provided with an option to opt out (unsubscribe) from that particular communication or from all marketing emails sent by us. Please follow the instructions in the email received.

Please note that replying to a Ling & Lim marketing email, or sending any communication to us, does not create a solicitor-client relationship. Do not send us any information you consider confidential unless we have first agreed to act as your solicitors in that matter.

The provision of your personal data to us is voluntary. However, if you choose not to provide certain personal data, we may not be able to communicate with you, provide the legal services you require, or invite you to our events and programmes.

The Firm has a strict policy of not issuing unsolicited emails and does not solicit engagements via email. Any email purporting to be from Ling & Lim but sent from a different domain does not relate to the official business of the Firm and should be treated as unauthorised. The Firm accepts no liability for the content of such communications or for any actions taken on the basis of them.

Ling & Lim reserves the right to update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in applicable laws or our business practices. The latest version will always be available on this website. By continuing to use this website or engage our services following any updates, you are deemed to have consented to the revised Privacy Notice.
